Penguin's First Day of School is an illustrated book for children between 5 and 8 years old.
During his first day of school, Penguin meets his new classmates and discovers bitterly that, despite being a bird, he cannot fly, nor run, nor dance like they do. It seems that he cannot do anything... perhaps because he has not yet discovered what his true talent is. Thanks to Grebe, he will discover, in fact, that in the water he is not only be able to fly, but he transforms into a true wonder of nature.
By retracing Penguin's first day of school, the story wants to communicate that every child has a hidden talent and teaches the importance of discovering and cultivating one's own abilities, without comparing oneself to others. It is a story of self-acceptance and the beauty of uniqueness.
