L’Italia è famosa nel mondo per l’eccellenza culinaria. Non c’è da stupirsi, quindi, che il cibo venga letteralmente usato in tantissime espressioni italiane. Per di più in un modo così naturale, che noi italiani non ci facciamo neanche caso! In questo libro sono raccolte 84 espressioni usate quotidianamente in italiano: il loro significato è spiegato attraverso divertenti illustrazioni e interessanti accenni storici e, dulcis in fundo, ogni espressione è accompagnata da una ricetta di famiglia o di amici, frutto di miei ricordi.

Parla come mangi (Speak the way you eat) is an illustrated book about the relationship between food and the Italian language.
Italy is famous throughout the world for its culinary excellence. It is therefore not surprising that food is literally used in so many Italian expressions. Moreover, in such a natural way that we Italians do not even notice! This book contains 84 expressions used daily in Italian: their meaning is explained through fun illustrations and interesting historical references and, last but not least, each expression is accompanied by a family or friends recipe, the result of my memories.
